In biology, it's very easy to get lost in fine details. It is crucial to view concepts within larger systems. I target biological systems one at a time and focus on how concepts relate to one another, building bridges in the mind of the student that they can use to connect important ideas. I understand that I am relatively young (22), but my strength is that I understand how the modern student learns best. As a student, I have taken advanced cellular biology, advanced microbiology, and biochemistry. I've done quite well in my courses and had time to do research in a microbiology lab as well.
