About Chloe
As a rising senior at LaGuardia High School of Performing Arts in NYC, I am a student with an extremely diverse set of skills and perspectives on academics and music. I’m passionate about all academics and learning, especially neuroscience and music therapy, and have excelled in numerous classes and activities. This includes AP Biology, hospital volunteer work at Mount Sinai, summer science programs at Columbia University and Stanford University, professional piano playing/accompanying, singing, dancing, and composing. One of my favorite experiences was volunteering at the New York Philharmonic’s Young People’s Concert where I helped young kids express themselves through art inspired by music. I believe learning can be joyful and empowering, and I’d love to help students grow with confidence and curiosity.

As your tutor, I would open up my lesson plans and tailor it to your needs, providing a wide range of flexibility for the best possible outcome and experience. Using resources like textbooks, Khan Academy, and my own detailed notes and self-created problems, I'd ensure that my student understands their subject to the maximum. I will be sure to thoroughly explain certain topics for a long-term and deeper understanding, as well as provide information and tips on retention for faster, short-term learning.
I like to make learning clear and approachable by breaking big ideas into smaller steps, using real-world examples and analogies, and helping students remember things through simple memory techniques like active recall and spaced repetition. More than anything, I want the students I work with to feel confident, curious, and excited to learn.
