About Grigorii

I am a pre-medical student at the University of Illinois Chicago, where I am completing my Bachelor’s degree in Molecular, Cellular, and Organismal Biology. Before transferring to the U.S., I studied for two years at a medical school abroad, which gave me a strong foundation in science and healthcare. Throughout my academic journey, I discovered a passion for teaching and mentoring students at different stages of their education. In addition to subject tutoring, I enjoy mentoring students on navigating college admissions, writing personal statements, and preparing for future academic goals, especially those interested in healthcare careers. I have worked with students in both individual and group settings, online and in-person, and I strive to create a supportive, motivating environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions and take ownership of their learning. About the lesson

As a tutor, I focus on clarity, structure, and active engagement. I adapt each session to the student’s level and goals—whether it’s building foundational understanding, mastering exam strategies, or reviewing complex topics in biology, chemistry, or biochemistry.

I help students understand why things work. I simplify tough concepts using analogies, visuals, and real-world examples. I also include active recall, spaced repetition, and frequent check-ins to boost retention and confidence.

I’ve studied medicine internationally and now study biology at a U.S. university—so I know how to explain topics from both a student's and a scientific perspective. I also tailor my explanations to how you learn best—visual, logical, verbal, etc.
