About Caraline

I am reliable, professional, and committed to providing high‑quality online tuition. I communicate clearly with learners and parents, set realistic goals, and ensure each session is purposeful and well structured. My aim is to create a positive learning environment where learners feel safe, understood, and supported to succeed.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is SEND‑informed, learner‑centred, and confidence‑focused. I work carefully with each learner’s individual needs, strengths, and pace, particularly supporting learners with autism (ASC), ADHD, anxiety, and additional learning needs.
I use a structured but flexible approach, breaking learning down into clear, manageable steps. Sessions focus on:

reducing learning anxiety
building understanding through repetition and practical examples
adapting teaching methods to suit different learning styles
reinforcing progress through encouragement and achievable goals

For Maths and English, I focus on functional understanding, real‑life application, and confidence, rather than pressure or rushed outcomes.

Lesson length

Typical lessons are 50–60 minutes
Short breaks can be built in where needed
Session length and delivery can be adapted for SEND learners who may struggle with concentration or anxiety

Qualifications and experience
I have 9 years of experience working with SEND learners across a range of settings, including post‑16 education. I am Level 4 Teaching qualified and have extensive experience supporting learners who have struggled in traditional classroom environments.
My background includes:

SEND‑informed teaching and learning support
Functional Skills Maths and English up to Level 2
Supporting learners with low confidence, disengagement, or anxiety
Adapting teaching to individual needs rather than a one‑size‑fits‑all approach.

Who the lessons are for
My lessons are suitable for:

Post‑16 learners and young adults
Learners working towards Maths and English up to Level 2 (including Functional Skills)
Learners with SEND who need a calm, structured, and supportive approach

While my main experience is post‑16, I am also happy to support younger learners where specialist SEND‑focused tuition is appropriate
