Over the last 20 years I've dedicated myself to learning Spanish.
During college I studied abroad twice in Mexico and the Dominican Republic.

But also I've traveled extensively to and have lived in other Spanish speaking countries to immerse myself and go deeper into the Spanish language to advance my level of fluency.

Other Spanish speaking countries I've lived in are Colombia, Ecuador, and Perú but I've also spent time in Spain.

I'm looking to share everything I've learned with my future students.

About the lesson

The first step in learning Spanish or any other foreign language is to focus on pronunciation. This is the foundation for being able to speak and understand a language well.

My method of learning Spanish is a strong focus on building vocabulary and speaking from day one. Then learning the most commonly used words and locking those words into long term memory for automatic recall through spaced repetition, talking out loud, and visualization.

But also learning important grammar rules to linked the words together to use them correctly when speaking.

There will also be role playing in various situations so you feel confident to speak effortlessly when you find yourself in those situations.

I will also incorporate writing as another way to use words learned to activate recall of those words to further cement them into long term memory.

A typical lesson plan would be:
Learning 10 words and pronouncing those words correctly
(verbs, nouns, adjectives, numbers, etc.)
Thinking of several real life situations where those words could be used.
Writing those 10 words out in several sentences for more repetition and to have a visual memory of them.
Associating those words to things you already know.

What sets me apart as a tutor is that I've learned Spanish through self-study through my own method which is based on a more natural creative approach to learning languages. And I want to share this with others to get them the same results.

My lessons are for anyone serious about learning Spanish and want to see results fast.
