About Jovan

I have more than 25 years of experience in information technology, as a technology leader, consultant and executive. I hold a Major in Economics (BA, University of Belgrade) and postgraduate studies in Computer Sciences and Business Administration (in Belgrade and Toronto). Over 25 years of IT experience in roles ranging from technical leadership to management, combined with a strong understanding of business process provides me with a vision to provide a real value add to the students. I was one of the first dozen Certified Lead ISO 17799 Auditors in North America. I am also Certified Information Security Auditor (CISA – ISACA). I co-invented patents for risk and security modeling and quantification. Two patents were granted, and additional patents filed, individually.

About the lesson

Teaching Methodology and Techniques

- Interactive Learning: I engage students in interactive problem-solving activities. This is done through case studies or real-world scenarios.
- Hands-on Practice: Information security is a practical field. I encourage students to learn by doing. This could involve setting up secure systems or identifying vulnerabilities in test environments.

A Typical Lesson Plan

- Introduction: Start with a brief overview of the day’s topic.
- Interactive Lecture: Dive into the details of the topic, encouraging questions and discussions.
- Hands-on Activity: I allow students to apply what they’ve learned in a controlled environment.
- Review and Q&A: We end the session by reviewing key points and answering any remaining questions.
