About Olivia

I am a current Spanish teacher at a London school with over 10 years' experience teaching languages at home and abroad, in countries including Nepal, Honduras and Mexico. I have a passion for the Spanish-speaking world and love sharing that with others through supporting them to achieve their Spanish-speaking goals!

I have been lucky enough to work in a variety of contexts that has informed my teaching style - from classes of 60 students in a rural Nepali school, to after-school groups of young children in the outskirts of Mexico City using a 'games-only' methodology, to adult learners from across the world in individual online sessions, to name a few! Complemented by my professional training (TEFL, PGCE) I am able to offer highly engaging and dynamic lessons, tailored to the needs and interests of each student.

About the lesson

I am an experienced teacher and tutor of both English and Spanish, currently working as a Spanish teacher at secondary level at a London school. I offer Spanish lessons at all levels, whether you are a complete beginner or already working at an intermediate level and looking to develop further. Whatever your Spanish goals are (speaking confidence, grammar practice, expanding vocabulary), I can help! I am also able to support students working towards their GCSE or A Level exams, as I teach these currently.

I have over 10 years of teaching experience, including at schools in Nepal and Mexico, in addition to several years of online tutoring to children and adults. As a result I am able to adapt my teaching to the needs and interests of each student, combining a warm and friendly conversation-based approach with rigorous practice of essential grammar foundations.

I am TEFL qualified and hold a PGCE in Teaching Modern Foreign Languages at Secondary level.
