About Aidan
I have a passion for maths and love teaching and making sure students have full confidence in material no matter how long it takes.
I understand how stressful maths can be like any subject when you just can't wrap your head around a certain topic or concept. I understand how frustrating that can be and I want to make sure students feel comfortable in taking their time and open to as much help as they need.

My approach to teaching
I believe that no student has a predetermined "cap" on their mathematical ability, maths is a logical and repetitive subject that anyone can develop and improve at any pre-existing skill level.
My aim is not just to teach the material at face-value but teach why certain concepts are this way. In my experience, when students struggle to improve their mathematical ability is when they don't see the reason in why they are being taught certain material.
I also believe that fostering an interest is an important part in long-term success. This is why lessons are tailored to the individual student instead of a fixed copy-and-paste plan. Content will move at the student's pace, allowing time to revisit areas that need more attention, introducing challenging material when the student is ready, not making maths become overbearing and uninteresting.
Availability
Monday-Saturday evenings
Lessons around 90-120 minutes long
Qualifications/ Experience
I achieved Grade 9 (A*) in both Higher Mathematics (Edexcel) and Further Mathematics (AQA). Proof can be obtained on request.
Having recently been a secondary school student I am familiar with the National Curriculum (Yr7-9) and GCSE Mathematics. This comes with the ability to provide first-hand insight on GCSE exam structure.
