About Alice
Hi! I'm Alice! I have been working as an English teacher in local secondary schools for the last two years. Before that I worked in a university setting and even did some academic research myself while studying for an MA in Shakespeare Studies at King's College London. I especially love tutoring because I really enjoy helping my students to grow in confidence and see that with some time and support they can not only reach their goals but smash them!
My favourite thing about tutoring is getting to know my students and helping them to see how learning connects with their interests and how they can apply their new knowledge in the 'real world'. This is amazing because I love helping students to find out what they are passionate about and help them to pursue their own dream career in the future!

As a qualified teacher I have worked as a secondary school English, Classics and Media teacher and have an excellent track record of helping students hit and excel their personal targets. My lessons are collaborative (my students and I are a team from day one) and personalised to suit the needs for each pupil in my care. Most importantly they are fun! I work with my students' personal interests to make learning 'stick' and encourage that all important lightbulb moment! I welcome students from all backgrounds, ages and abilities (including students with SENs) whether this be supporting them in their 11+, GCSEs, A Levels or beyond!
