About Kirstie
I am a mom of four children ranging in ages 15 to 5 years old. I’ve always loved kids and decided after years of being a stay at home mom to apply at my children’s school district. I homeschooled three of my younger children and already had experience with teaching so when I got a position at our local elementary school in RTI it ended up being a perfect fit! I’m on my second year of being a paraprofessional in reading intervention and I absolutely love it. I love watching my students progress from letter recognition to reading stories.

Depending on the students needs we either start from the beginning ( knowing our alphabet and each letter sound) and then move forward to blending our sounds and finally to reading at the students grade level. I don’t move students along until they are ready and feel confident. I aim to make each lesson fun so that my students grow to love reading.
