About Jenny
Hello, Everyone!! My name is Jen and I am a tutor/Professional Teacher in both Core French and English. Though I am a Paraplegic, be rest-assured that my wheelchair is friendly and that I am ready to engage in some meaningful and relatable material that is tailored to your individual needs. Each session begins with a five-minute chat allotment so that you feel heard and know that you matter as a person. After our talk, we delve into content that matters to you as an individual. Tutorials are unique and interactive which means that you participate as an active learner so that I can help you progress with each step of the way. I look forward to meeting you soon!

I believe most kids thrive when they are given a safe space to learn in, someone who believes in them, and content that keeps them actively engaged in the lesson. I think it is important that the lessons be relatable to each child in particular. What one kid likes, another does not; so the way in which the material is addressed should match the child's needs and interests.
I have taught every grade from K-12; but I focus on K-3. The methods I use vary depending on what an individual requires to learn. I have had children use clay to form letters of the Alphabet while learning Phonics. I have asked students to use string to pair objects while teaching skip counting in Math. I have had students draw simple pictures of what they hear as I read poetry to them. Different methods work for different students. The trick is to know what those are as quickly as possible which I can do.
