About Siyabonga
My name is Siyabonga Maphanga, and I’m a dedicated and passionate third-year Bachelor of Education (BEd) student at the University of Pretoria, specializing in Mathematics and Science education. I have several years of hands-on experience working with learners from diverse backgrounds — including roles as a Grade 12 tutor, a university teaching assistant in Chemistry and Physics, and as a former vice-chairperson of an educational NGO that supported learners with academic guidance and bursary applications. I approach tutoring with patience, energy, and a genuine love for helping learners unlock their potential. My lessons are interactive, clear, and tailored to each student’s pace and learning style. Whether you’re looking to improve your understanding of a topic, prepare for exams, or boost your confidence in class, I’m here to support you every step of the way. Understanding My Pricing and Policies
Hourly Rate:
My standard rate is R100 per hour for both online and face-to-face one-on-one lessons. This covers tutoring in Mathematics, Physical Sciences(grade 12 paper 1), and Natural Sciences from Grade 7 to Grade 12.
Monthly Bookings:
Lessons are booked on a monthly basis, with upfront payments to confirm your slots. This helps maintain consistency and ensures lessons are well-planned according to your academic goals.
Lesson Duration & Structure:
All lessons follow the Department of Education’s ATP (Annual Teaching Plan). This ensures each session is aligned with the curriculum, preparing you effectively for assessments and final exams.
Online Lessons:
There are no extra fees for online sessions. All you need is a stable internet connection and a quiet space to focus. I’ll handle the rest with interactive notes and real-time guidance.
Free Extras:
Every learner receives free revision materials, practice questions, and personalized notes to help them grasp difficult concepts and stay ahead in class.
