My name is Dirk Westensee and I have recently moved to London from South Africa. I have worked at various private schools in South Africa for my training and have also taught at University level. I am currently a Science/Maths teacher in the Wimbledon area. I have 2-3 years teaching experience in Maths and Biology. I have obtained my PGCE as well as a Master of Science degree. I am currently in the process of finishing off my PhD degree.
I have a passion for teaching and want to inspire pupils to take pride in their work, do the best they can and help them realize their own potential.
I see myself as a friendly person with good preparation skills. I am also very patient with learners who struggle to understand certain concepts. However, I am also punctual and disciplined and I expect my pupils to be the same in this regard.
