About Malikah

I am a student at the University of Cambridge on a fully funded scholarship. I have Grade A* equivalents in AQA GCSE English Literature (9), AQA English Language (8), AQA Religious Studies (8) and Pearson Business (9). I also have a grade A in WJEC/EDUQAS A Level English Language. I am passionate to teach students because I understand the importance and pressure of exams. I want to help students achieve their aspirational grades because I was in their position not long ago and am willing to use different teaching styles to utilise my revision methods / notes in order to help my students progress. As I am not as qualified as some tutors (those with degrees or PGCEs), my tutoring will be cheaper than theirs. I will still use the same quality of teaching (following exam specs and using revision guides) but will make sure my teaching actually connects with students.

About the lesson

So, why be tutored with me?
- I sat my GCSEs in 2023 & A Levels in 2025, which means that my knowledge of exam requirements will be recent.
- My tips and tricks will be applicable and true: cutting out all the “nonsense” and ineffective techniques standard teachers use at a mass level.
- My relatability and understanding of exam pressure ensures I can be as personal as possible with my students.
- I will share my own exam resources and try to tailor them to improve my student’s performance.
- My lesson plans will be different based on each student’s progress and potential.
- My aim will always be to get my students top achieving grades, even if they are predicted lower ones.
