About Deon
Hello! My name is Deon, and I am passionate about helping students improve their English and become more confident communicators. I believe that learning English should be enjoyable, supportive, and suited to each student’s individual needs. I am a patient, friendly, and dedicated tutor who will encourage you to participate, ask questions, and practise your English without being afraid of making mistakes. In my lessons, we can focus on conversation, pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, reading, and writing, depending on your goals. I can teach in both English and Afrikaans, and I am happy to work with learners at different levels. My goal is to make every lesson positive, interactive, and useful while helping you make steady progress. I look forward to meeting you and helping you on your English-learning journey!

My approach to tutoring is to create a friendly, supportive, and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I believe that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching methods to suit their individual needs, learning style, and level of English. I am patient, encouraging, and committed to helping students build their confidence while improving their speaking, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation skills. I am proficient in English and Afrikaans and can teach English to beginner, intermediate, and advanced learners, depending on their needs. A typical lesson with me will be interactive and focused on the student’s goals, with opportunities to practise English through conversation, activities, and practical examples. My lessons are suitable for children, teenagers, and adults who want to improve their English for school, everyday communication, or personal development.
