About Wenxuan

I come from Beijing and have been travelling around the world to pursue my academic education during the past 10 years. Back to five years ago, I was in a state of physical and mental exhaustion ended from work stress and long-time sitting in front of desks. Through a lucky chance, I was introduced to Yoga practice by a friend during 2020, when the COVID spread. From then, I have been practising yoga and appreciating the benefits and positive transformational changes it brings to my life. In 2022, I came to London to pursue my master’s degree. I find that Yoga has become an indispensable part of my life. Coming to the mat to practice yoga allows me to connect with my body and cultivate a sense of mindfulness, grounding and stillness that is a privilege in the current fast-moving society. I have completed my RYS 200hrs Vinyasa Yoga teacher training programme that lasted 9 months in London. I have substantial experiences of practising various styles of yoga. My goal in teaching is to let other people curate a sense of mindfulness and to discover the yoga practice that suits them to help them live a better life.

About the lesson

I am a certified RYS 200hr Vinyasa Training Yoga teacher based in London and specialising in teaching Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin Yoga and Restorative Yoga. I give clear and mindful instructions throughout the class. During a typical 60mins session, my class includes a pranayama practice at the beginning to draw students’ mind into a focused and relaxed state of being to connect with the present moment. Subsequently, the class is organised into a brief warm-up series, a sequence of standing postures and other asanas depending on the individual’s goal, a cool down series, and a brief meditation. I am willing to tailor my class contents to suit different students’ goals, be it to release back tension, to open the heart or to establish a solid yoga foundation or to build up a better body awareness and strengthen body alignment. I am passionate about teaching beginner yogis to help them release body tension and mental stress coming from life and work. I offer modifications to adapt the poses throughout the practice. I teach group and private classes in person and online, in English and Mandarin. Please contact me for more details.
