About Amanda

I am an English graduate from a Russell Group university with over six years’ experience in professional writing, editing, communications and content development. Throughout my career, I have written and reviewed a wide range of materials, including articles, reports, case studies, newsletters and internal documents, which has given me a strong understanding of grammar, structure, tone and clear written communication.

I can support students with English Language and Literature at GCSE and A-level, as well as younger learners who need help building confidence in reading and writing. I can also help with essay planning, analysis, paragraph structure, creative writing, proofreading and exam preparation.

I have completed a Certificate in Therapeutic Skills and Studies with the Metanoia Institute, which strengthened my active listening, empathy and communication skills. My approach is patient, calm and encouraging, and I adapt lessons to each student’s level, learning style and goals. I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and developing confidence in their abilities.

**Russell Group English graduate with professional writing experience offers English tutoring for primary, GCSE and A-level students, including essay writing, literature analysis and exam preparation.**

I provide supportive and personalised English lessons tailored to each student’s level, confidence and learning goals.

I can help with:

* Analysing novels, plays, poetry and unseen texts
* Grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary
* Creative and persuasive writing
* Exam technique and revision

With over six years’ experience in professional writing, editing and communications, I can help students express their ideas clearly and strengthen the quality of their written work.

My training in therapeutic and counselling skills has also developed my active listening, empathy and ability to create a calm, patient and non-judgemental learning environment. Lessons are encouraging, structured and adapted to how each student learns best.
