About Amelia
I am currently a history student at UCL and was tutored for most of my time at school. Tutoring really helped me achieve the best results possible and so I know exactly how a successful tutoring session should look like. I now study at one of the top universities in the UK.

Every lesson is different because everyone has different things they need to focus on.
My lessons will be strongly discussion based in order to help you develop an understanding of what you're doing rather than just have you memorise certain things. I know that GCSEs and other exams have been criticised for being just a memory test but your analytical skills are so important in history and English in helping you create an argument and finding interesting points so I hope you walk away from a lesson with the confidence to analyse any text.
I will also be focusing on essay based questions in order to help you with revision as application of your learning is scientifically proven to be the best type of revision. Having someone there with you will also help you figure out where you went wrong.
Learning is a collaborative process so we will be working together to get the best possible results from our time together. I will not be lecturing you on anything. We can learn things from each other!
