About Aditi

Hi, I’m Aditi—a UC Berkeley EECS major with hands-on experience in machine learning research, software engineering, and teaching. I've contributed to advanced projects at Berkeley AI Research, Merck, and Space Sciences Lab, where I’ve built models for everything from drug discovery to autonomous rovers. My technical background is matched by a passion for education—I’ve taught over 100 students as a computer science course assistant, mentored peers through the EECS Honor Society, and tutored math, physics, and programming at multiple levels. About the lesson

As a tutor with a background in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at UC Berkeley, and prior experience in AI/ML research and software engineering, I bring both academic depth and real-world perspective to my teaching. My approach is grounded in clarity, adaptability, and empowerment. I focus on building conceptual understanding before diving into application. Whether teaching computer science, physics, or math, I start by identifying a student’s current level and tailoring explanations to match their thinking style. I use analogies, visualizations, and real-world examples—especially from engineering or AI—to make abstract concepts intuitive. I also encourage active learning through problem-solving, code walkthroughs, and Socratic questioning. Typical Lesson Plan: 0. Prep: I will reach out before our session, ask specifically what you need help with, construct a lesson plan, and compile resources to make sure I am prepared for the lesson. 1. Quick Diagnostic (5 mins): Review previous material or assess starting point. 2. Core Concept Focus (15–20 mins): Explain key ideas, using visuals or examples where needed. 3. Interactive Practice (20–25 mins): Work through problems or projects together. 4. Wrap-up (5–10 mins): Summarize key takeaways, set goals, and provide follow-up resources or exercises. For computer science lessons, I often integrate small coding challenges or debug sessions. For physics or math, I emphasize the "why" behind formulas and connect theory with problem-solving techniques. What Sets Me Apart I bridge academic rigor with real-world application.
