This lesson focuses on developing students’ confidence and ability to communicate effectively in practical workplace situations. Students will learn and use Business English words, including customer, client, product, service, price, cost, quality, value, benefit, feature, offer, discount, budget, order, payment, receipt, meeting, schedule, deadline, project, task, manager, employee, team, company, department, report, email, request, problem, solution, agree, explain, discuss, recommend, improve, satisfied, professional, reliable, and communication. These words will help students express ideas, respond to customers, communicate with co-workers, discuss tasks, and handle common workplace situations.

To make students more convincing when speaking English, teach them to communicate with clarity, confidence, politeness, and good reasons. Students should first ask questions to understand the customer’s needs, then explain the product or service, identify its features and benefits, respond politely to concerns, and finally make a recommendation. For example, instead of simply saying, “Buy this product because it is good,” students can say, “I recommend this product because it is reliable, affordable, and useful. It can save you time and provide good value for your money.” Through role-playing activities such as “Convince Me,” students can practice persuading a customer to choose a product or service. The main goal of the lesson is to help students use Business English naturally and confidently in real workplace communication.
