About Lydia
Imagine the feeling when your fingers finally move across the strings without you having to think about every placement. That is the outcome I help my students reach through disciplined practice of lead guitar and songwriting. We will spend time reading tabs and mastering the blues progressions you enjoy most. Because I have 13 years of experience on stage, I know how to make these lessons count.
I offer a free trial session to assess your starting level and discuss your goals. My degree is rooted in real-world application rather than just theory, which means you get practical advice. I am here to help you navigate your grade exam prep with confidence. It is a pleasure to share what I have learned over the years.

Absolute beginners often think they need expensive gear to start playing. Actually, you just need a clear understanding of the fretboard and a steady hand.
My journey started 13 years ago on the chanson circuit, where I learned the value of a solid groove. I have guided 136 students through the basics and beyond, including working professionals and grade exam candidates.
Seeing a student finally nail a blues progression is the highlight of my week. I bring a native Québécois perspective to folk styles that you will not find in standard books.
My teaching style is direct, friendly, and always rooted in the reality of performing music. I hope to help you bridge the gap between playing notes and making music. Let us get to work on your technique soon.
