About Lourdes
My theoretical approach is Constructivism. People elaborate, build their knowledge from their own experiences. Because of this idea, I have developed a special pedagogical teaching style resulting closely in comprehensive and meaningful learning of the students. That is why I prepare my lessons based on their experiences and level of knowledge in Spanish and use a variety of material, which allows students to develop reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.

I am an experienced retired University Professor from Venezuela. I taught Educational Psychology and Reading Comprehension and Written Production (Spanish) fields at the Central University of Venezuela. Teaching is my passion. I am an outstanding tutor. Not only I have qualifications for teaching Spanish but also, as a professor of Educational Psychology I have the advantage of using my knowledge about learning theories and strategies to help students get a good proficiency in Spanish. My last student improved her Spanish so much to the point that she did not need me anymore. That should be the goal of every teacher or tutor: to become unnecessary. I am happy about that.
