Dr. Armstrong helped me understand Math as an Undergrad at WVSU. I failed math in high school and struggled in college. I needed one class to graduate with my BA in Communications: MATH. I had a lot riding on passing her class. Dr. Armstrong was not easy on me (or the class) but she made the concepts easy to understand. I just completed my second Master's degree (WVU) and I always think back to how I struggled in undergrad math and how ONE great teacher can change the way you feel about how you learn. I was not and am not "dumb." I just needed the teaching and support that Dr. Armstrong provided. Passing her class is one of my highest achievements. Her class unlocked a world of education to me.

I have known Sonya for many years; we were doctoral students together at the University of Rochester, where we both earned our PhD degrees. Sonya is a dedicated professional with many years of experience and training. She has risen through the ranks based on her work ethic and substantial contributions to her organizations.
