About Michelle
I am a critical care nurse, currently not practicing, though intending to return eventually. My strengths are math and science, having completed calculus and physics in high school. As a nurse, I’m most interested in tutoring and helping our children understand the practical applications of math and algebra (I.e. dosing medications, calculating heights and weights and converting metric to standard measurements, weights and measures for cooking, baking, but also for weight calculations for flights) I want to get kids excited about math!

My teaching approach is to evaluate each individual client’s interests, and build a plan based on that to keep them engaged and excited. My enthusiasm in helping a client solve a problem on their own drives my desire to tutor. I am extremely patient and love to find creative ways to help clients learn. I have a strong belief in positive reinforcement and making my client feel empowered by what they are learning.
