Curriculum Vitae of KAWA Nishad Ali, a prodigy of Tabla Nishad Ali, grandson of the great classical singer Ustad Abdul Gafoor, was born in 1994 in Jaipur (India). From the age of two, he began learning the tabla with his uncles Ashik Ali (acc Vishwa Mohan Bhatt Pt ...) and Amjad Ali (Ustad U Sultan Khan Ustad Rais Khan, Ustad Gulam Ali ...). Disciple of the great master Ustad Hidayat Khan Sahib, he has, thanks to his teaching, developed a great sense of improvisation with undeniable virtuosity. In the purest tradition of the Delhi Gharana (Delhi School), Nishad Ali develops rhythms in 10, 12 or 16 beats as well as complexes (and little played) 9, 11 or 13 beats. A small percussion genius, he participated at the age of 3 in the classical competition of Darshak Sanstha and won the Bhal Vishiste Prize. He was very young spotted by old masters like his future guru Ustad Hidayat Khan (Pt Ravi Shankar, Ustad Vilayat Khan, Pt Bishem Joshi, Ustad Gulam Mustapha Khan ...), but also Ustad Fayaz Khan (tabla), Ustad Sultan Khan (sarangi) ... Then, together with his brothers, Nishad gives many concerts throughout Rajasthan, including the Virasat Festival in Jaipur or the President of India Mr. Apj Kalam. He also accompanies great classical musicians like Vani jai Ram or Begum Afruz Bano (certainly the greatest thumri singer currently alive).
