About Lauryn

My name is Lauryn Gill. I'm a 25-year-old tutor from Los Angeles, California, with a passion for languages, culture, and storytelling. My journey with languages began early and grew stronger during my freshman year, studying at the American University of Paris in collaboration with the University of Southern California. I later completed my degree at Howard University, a pivotal experience that deepened my cultural awareness and academic foundation, receiving a major in French and a minor in Spanish. (I also took a year of Italian classes at the American University of Paris and a year of Brazilian Portuguese classes at Howard.) After graduating, I pursued my creative passions through an online screenwriting program with UCLA Professional Programs, combining my love for storytelling with my appreciation for diverse cultures and perspectives. As a tutor, I bring a blend of academic rigor and creative energy, offering engaging and personalized lessons that not only teach the language but also explore the culture, history, and context that make each language unique.
