About Maggie

As graduate from University of Wollongong, with double Masters degree in Commerce and Professional Accounting, I have developed competent skills in Accounting, Auditing, Taxation, Finance and Legal studies in central. As previously worked for education sector, retail business and hospitality industry, these placements have enabled me to develop not only specific industry experience, but also valuable and transferable skills in the fast-paced business environment.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology are 'guiding', 'fun' and 'punctuate'!! Basically I try to find the advantages and disadvantages of the students through class times, and from there, I guide them through their problems and help them developing their strengths. Class times do not always mean 'rigid' to me, but 'fun' and 'active' apply more to my virtual classrooms. However, as a responsible tutor, I do require a lot of their focuses in the classes and 'can do' attitudes to complete the homework that I set for them!!

Handbook that I summarised which may help you in Accounting:
1) It is important to have text books ready with some subjects, however, buying text books in Australia can be very expensive, hence, you can get digital versions from online stores, or you can either buy new ones from the Uni book store or second hand ones from Uni students' community.
2) Accounting is in the finance field, hence, some of the questions can be explained logically, but some can be very illogical, hence, as a beginner, you can find really headache to understand the formula, so I have a simple but 'dull' way to understand it which is repetitively read the confused formula and descriptions, along with repetitively completing the tutorial questions.
3) Most of the times, accounting is linked to real life scenarios, hence, it is really important for you to follow the news, take part in finance forums, as well as look for internship opportunities.
