About Trang

I come from a strong Finance and Accounting background. After graduate with a first class honours in B.Sc. Accounting and Finance at the University of Birmingham, I sought to further enhance my understanding of finance and investment by undertaking a master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Investment and Wealth Management at Imperial College London and graduated with Merit. As I was motivated to learn about the legal aspects of finance, I’m further stretch myself intellectually by undertaking a Masters of Laws (L.L.M) in International Corporate Governance and Financial Regulation at the University of Warwick. Prior to my first degree, I have successfully completed A Level at Mander Portman Woodward College (Birmingham) with an achievement of A*, A*, A in Accounting, Mathematics and Economics and awarded the "Best Performance by a two-year A Level Student".

I was born and raised up in Vietnam but have been living in the UK for 6 years. The circumstance allows me to become bilingual. Given the exposure to the two contrasting cultures, I become very open-minded and culturally aware. This enables me to better communicate with people from different backgrounds. During my time at university, I worked part-time as an interpreter and translator for Forbes Recruitments and had a chance to meet people from various backgrounds including prisoners, vulnerable minors, lawyers, doctors and social workers. I'm also currently working for Premium Linguistic Services as a part-time interpreting and translation freelancer. The experience does not just give me a chance to practice my communication and linguistic skills, but also allows me to become more understanding and sociable as I learn more about the world around me.

I'm very approachable and eager to learn, therefore despite my limited experience in teaching, I strongly believe I can learn fast and improve while tutoring. As I try to learn about tutoring while studying with you, you will be expecting homework and regular assignments from me in order to assess your understanding as well as whether my method of teaching is suitable and effective. From my personal learning experiences, this activity will help you to understand subjects quicker and more in depth. It also prepares you well for exams.

I'm able to find simple ways and words to articulate my point and relevant yet fun examples to illustrate and I'm patient enough to teach until you understand.

I want to get to know you in person, your problems and areas of weakness as well as strengths. This aims to give me an overview of how I should draft a teaching plan that suits you the best. I will be more than happy to talk about my A Level and university exam techniques and discuss with you to identify the most effective way for you to study and prepare for exams.

Also, please feel that you can contact me anytime to inquire about things that suddenly you feel uncomfortable dealing with and I will be more than happy to help you.

I really hope that my knowledge and experience could be shared and used in a meaningful way to help young people in their academic endeavour. Given my academic and social background, I hope I have gained your confidence and trust to choose me as your tutor.
