About Alexis
I have been tutoring for ten years now, teaching 460 students who mostly wanted a relaxed, enjoyable way to improve their English rather than an intense academic program. My own relationship with writing grew casually through reading and curiosity, never intense classroom study, and that shapes everything about how I teach today. I believe pressure kills curiosity far more often than it builds genuine skill in someone learning to write well. Students tell me our sessions feel like the easiest part of their week, not another stressful obligation piled on top. I measure success in whether a student still wants to keep writing, not perfect grammar alone.

My English lessons feel like relaxed conversation between friends rather than a formal class, since I have found real curiosity produces far better writing than pressure ever does. We talk about whatever genuinely interests the student that day, letting vocabulary and structure sneak in naturally rather than being drilled through a rigid list. I never rush a student toward formal essay writing unless they specifically ask for that kind of structured practice themselves. Mistakes get a shrug and a laugh, then we simply keep going without any drama attached to getting something slightly wrong along the way. Sessions stay loose, following whatever topic genuinely interests the student that particular day rather than a fixed rigid plan. Structure exists quietly underneath, but it never feels intimidating to experience directly.
