About Michael Joseph

Hello, I am Teacher McGel.
I am a graduate of Our Lady of Fatima University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. I am a registered nurse, and I pursued my Master’s degree in Nursing right after passing the board examination. I have completed 21 units of education courses and hold several teaching certifications, including TESOL, TEFL, TEYL, TOEFL, and IELTS certifications. I have been teaching English online since 2011. One reason I particularly enjoy this profession, along with the challenges that come with it, is the opportunity to connect with people from different backgrounds and cultures. My greatest strength is my attention to detail. I take pride in my reputation for being responsible, committed, and reliable. Whenever I commit to doing something, I always make sure that it is completed properly and on time. I teach Basic, Intermediate, Business, and Casual English. I have always been passionate about teaching, and I strive to create a professional, supportive, and comfortable learning environment for my students. I truly love being a teacher, and I am excited to meet and support my students every day. My goal is to help them develop their English speaking skills and become more confident language users. Language teaching is fascinating, and I am always searching for new and effective ways to help students learn more successfully. My teaching style focuses on encouraging students to speak and use English as much as possible. My classes include discussions, interactive activities, and role plays that allow students to practice English in realistic situations. As a teacher, my role is not only to teach vocabulary and grammar but also to help students develop a clear learning structure. I guide them through different topics, encourage them to express their ideas, provide effective feedback, correct mistakes, and demonstrate proper language usage. I always try to make my classes as lively, engaging, and enjoyable as possible. I believe that a good teacher can also become a supportive friend who motivates students throughout their learning journey. Teaching English as a second language is challenging, but it is also incredibly rewarding. I enjoy interacting with students from different parts of the world, learning about their cultures, and helping them achieve their language goals. This is why I chose ESL teaching as my lifelong career.
