About Marissa
Hi, I’m Marissa! I’m a Registered Nurse working in general medicine at a well-known metropolitan hospital in Melbourne. I completed my Bachelor of Nursing with distinctions and have five years of experience as a Trainer and Assessor.
Having recently graduated, I remember how demanding nursing study can be. I wanted to offer the kind of support that makes students feel comfortable asking questions, especially when something hasn’t clicked yet.
I bring teaching experience and practical nursing knowledge to my lessons. I’m patient, approachable and organized, and I take the time to understand what you need. My goal is to help you build confidence, understand the reasoning behind your learning and feel prepared for assessments and clinical practice.

My lessons are tailored to what you need help with, whether that’s understanding pathophysiology, revising pharmacology, preparing for an exam or working through an assignment. I break complex topics into manageable steps, use practical examples to connect theory to patient care, and encourage questions throughout. We can also work through practice questions and clinical scenarios for OSCE and CSA preparation.
Lessons typically run for one hour, with flexible days and times. You can bring your subject materials, assessment instructions or questions so we can focus on the areas you find most challenging.
