About Mehdi
I am a HCPC registered Forensic Psychologist from the UK. I completed my BSc (2:1, Hons) in Psychology at the University of Glasgow for four years. Subsequently, I completed my MSc (Distinction) in Forensic Psychology at the University of Kent. Finally, I completed a Professional Doctorate in Forensic Psychology at the University of Nottingham for three years, where I worked across several placements as a Trainee Forensic Psychologist and obtained a registration to work as a practicing psychologist in the UK. Since then, I have worked in a secure hospital and community settings, training other professionals, delivering a variety of interventions and supervising Assistant Psychologists.
I have taught students at various universities in London, supervised junior therapists and assistant psychologists and trained other professionals in various psychology topics.

I was always fascinated with developing better ways of teaching. For example, my dissertation during my undergraduate degree was about exploring study methods that led to the most efficient outcome in terms of learning and comprehension. I am firm believer that teaching and acquisition of knowledge is a process that occurs as part of a dialogue between people. We often learn when we did not consciously intent to learn and forget things easily when we consciously tried really hard to memorise them. Consequently, I maintain a relaxed and strength based approach and incorporate a variety of methods including didactic teaching, use of videos, providing feedback, various exercises, role-plays and homework to fully consolidate the material.
