We build foundational techniques—accurate fretting, chord fluency, rhythmic precision, and dynamic tone control—through songs and genres that inspire you, whether that’s blues, rock, folk, metal, or pop. Music theory is woven into lessons with practical, creative exercises like modal interchange, chord substitutions, and melodic solo development, helping you understand and apply concepts in musical contexts. I encourage improvisation, original arrangements, and songwriting as ways to develop your unique musical voice.
We regularly set and review goals to maintain focus and motivation. A memorable moment was helping a student transform a punk rock anthem into a beautiful fingerstyle acoustic arrangement, witnessing their growth in artistry and confidence. Teaching guitar is about cultivating skill, creativity, and enduring passion.
