About Pedro
Hi, I'm Pedro. I am a dual-certified Red Seal Plumber and Gasfitter with seven years of progressive field experience, working my way up from a first-year apprentice to a mechanical foreman. Since 2023, I have been proudly mentoring apprentices through their Levels 1 to 4 Plumbing and Gas technical training.
My goal as an Instructional Skills Workshop (ISW) certified educator is to bridge the gap between the classroom and the real world. We won't waste time on passive memorization. Instead, we run through practical scenarios, tackle the math step-by-step, and practice navigating the codebook until it becomes second nature. By the end of our sessions, you won't just know how to pass the test—you'll be able to clearly visualize how the entire mechanical system comes together.
I know how to break down complicated concepts so they actually make sense. Because I’ve been in your shoes and taken these exams myself, I know exactly where students get tripped up. Whether you are prepping for a level exam or challenging your Red Seal, I will help you build the right habits to not only pass your tests with confidence but to excel out in the field. Typical Lesson Plan (60 Minutes)
00-10 min | Review & Diagnostic: Assess retention from previous topics and target high-friction problem areas.
10-30 min | Core Concept & Code Analysis: Break down complex theory (e.g., venting configurations, sizing tables, electrical diagnostics for gas controls) using real-world schematics.
30-50 min | Guided Application: Work through exam-style calculation problems, isometric drawings, and codebook lookups together.
50-60 min | Independent Check & Debrief: Rapid-fire test questions under timed conditions to reinforce pacing and exam strategy, followed by actionable homework assignments.
