About Gabrielle
Hi! My name's Gabby and I recently returned from a year-long Fulbright grant in Taitung, Taiwan (臺東、台灣）where I taught English and other subjects to Taiwanese elementary school students.
I graduated from Beloit College in 2021 with a double major in International Relations and Chinese Language & Culture with a minor in Anthropology. During that time, I worked for AVID, Upward Bound, the college Writing Center, and Beloit College LEDS as a tutor/mentor.
I love teaching and passing on skills to be successful in education, especially since I've been acting as an at-home tutor for my younger sisters for as long as I can remember! I'd love to help you find your self-confidence and studying niche, since I believe everyone can succeed and its just a matter of finding what tactics are the best for you.

I utilize a mostly student-centered approach that builds off of their current knowledge and is adapted to fit their preferred learning/studying practices.
As such my tutoring can be very personalized, and improved on as practices are negotiated through conversation on what works and what hasn't helped the student in the past.
If desired, I can create mini-assignments or assessments to check-in on where the student is at, as well as provide resources to refer to when a tutor is unavailable or to simply give them more practice with the material.
I have taught one-on-one tutoring as well as small-group lessons both virtually and in-person for the past 6+years. Depending on the help and subject material, I can work with anyone on subjects spanning elementary school to college level work.
