About Lucia
Hi, I’m Lucia! I’ve recently finished my GCSEs and I’m passionate about helping younger students feel more confident in English. I understand how difficult and overwhelming schoolwork and exams can sometimes feel, so I want to create a friendly and relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.
I’m a patient, caring and approachable person, and I really enjoy helping others learn. I want to teach because I believe that every student is capable of improving when they have the right support and encouragement. I’ll always celebrate progress, no matter how small, and adapt my lessons to each student as an individual.

I have recently finished my GCSEs, giving me fresh, first-hand experience of the English Language and Literature courses, revision and exams. My lessons are friendly, relaxed and personalised to each student. I will take time to understand what they find difficult and adapt my teaching to suit how they learn best.
I can use practice questions, reading exercises, creative activities, spelling practice, exam-style questions, explanations and guided work to help students build both their knowledge and confidence. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions and never feel embarrassed if they don’t understand something.
Lessons can typically be 45–60 minutes, depending on the student’s age and needs. I am happy to work with primary and younger secondary students, helping with English, reading, spelling, writing, poetry and literature.
As I have only recently completed my GCSEs, I understand the pressures students can face and can offer a relatable, patient and encouraging approach to learning. I am available for lessons after 5pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, and I am flexible with lesson times on those days.

Lucia is a close friend of mine, she is doing English lessons, she has talked me through poetry, animal farm, Macbeth, and a Christmas carol, helping me to understand and explain how the writing shows emotions and context through the books and poems, I would recommend Lucia as she has an amazing understanding of the books and poetry, she has a lot of patience and is good at being able to explain and show what the words and writers show.
She is so incredibly amazing at helping with work.i asked her for help with a essay for my boyfriend and she helped me so much.
