About Asha
Growing up as the eldest of nine, I was always helping my younger siblings with homework. Patience, compassion, and LOTS of breaks were key! Once I was in college, I was working as a tutor and teaching assistant for college and high school students in biology, Spanish, and writing/English. I love to work with students individually in order to understand who they are, how they learn, and what they would like to learn. If you would like to learn more or see my resume, please contact me!

Being the eldest in a big family, I learned how to be everyone's older sister. For younger kids, I love teaching through play, and for older students, I look to find each person's learning style so that they do not feel mentally exhausted and can stay engaged. I feel that there is a way for every person to be understood, and want everyone to have the opportunity to feel confident and to become independent academically. I have extensive experience with working with children on the autism spectrum and students with various learning challenges, and giving them independence and confidence was key to their success. I have experience tutoring college students, high schoolers, and middle schoolers in biology, Spanish, and English, but also have academic experience in mathematics up to Calculus and other sciences including chemistry, environmental science, and more.
