About Priya

I was born and raised in Baltimore County, MD. I completed my undergraduate degree in Hearing and Speech Sciences from the University of Maryland College Park and went on to pursue medical school in India. I've since graduated and cleared all the USMLE board exams. I enjoy helping others achieve their performance goals on these exams. I also tutor English to children in China online in my free time. I enjoy oil painting, yoga, trying new restaurants and helping others in any way possible.

About the lesson

I fell in love with a couple things when I was young: art and medicine. I was the top in my class in art classes, but I knew that could not take me into a career with a fulfilling level of mental challenge. For that reason, I majored in Hearing and Speech Sciences at the University of Maryland before starting medical school in India. USMLE board exams are anything but easy, and continue to be unlike any other exams. The method and discipline of preparation required can seem overwhelming, for anyone. That said, there is a systematic way to go about learning the most important concepts and materials to use to get the most bang for your buck in the shortest amount of time. I have a deeply rooted passion for teaching and find great joy in helping students recognize and achieve their true potential. I am dedicated to tailoring my tutoring specifically to each student, as each student naturally has unique learning styles. My hope is to create a friendly and comfortable environment that promotes open discussioI fell in love with a couple things when I was young: art and medicine. I am dedicated to tailoring my tutoring specifically to each student, as each student naturally has unique learning styles. My hope is to create a friendly and comfortable environment that promotes open discussion. I encourage students to ask as many questions as they like, to fully understand concepts. Each student has the potential to improve their knowledge and skills and I'm committed to helping them do that, and to push them to excel in a way that uncovers their talents. Helping students achieve their goals in these exams is beyond rewarding for me, the feeling is immeasurable. Your success is my success - if you come away feeling satisfied you gained something from each session with me, then I feel completely fulfilled. Having struggled with exams myself, I can easily say, with the right mindset, you too can achieve all the success that we're dreaming of together.I fell in love with a couple things when I was young: art and medicine.
