About Alex
I recently graduated from a master's program in writing and publishing from DePaul University in Chicago. Before that, I did an SPS course in creative writing at Northwestern. And, before that, I received my undergrad in journalism and creative writing from DePaul. I have been an editor, working my way up from reader, at a small literary magazine. Currently, I write book reviews for independent or self-published books. And have edited a few on the side.

If you already have a piece or story you are working on I would read it beforehand and plan a lesson around it. Finding and sharing things that you are doing well and areas that we could look at to improve upon. I will also look for examples in published pieces that might help you. Each lesson will be centered around what you as a writer would benefit from.
