About Sam

I am currently available to take on mathematics students who are looking for additional support or to take their understanding to the next level. This is a difficult time for all, particularly current year 10 and 12 students who may find themselves struggling to deal with the decreased support COVID-19 has resulted in. For year 11 pupils who are looking to study A-level mathematics, this would present an ideal opportunity for bridging the gap before September. I have multiple years of tutoring experience, working previously with students ranging from ages 5 to post A-level. Whether you are looking for flexible, on-going support or are targeting a specific grade in examinations, I am happy to help.

I have recently graduated from the London School of Economics and Political Science with a first-class honours degree in Economics, including a focus on quantitative microeconomics. I attended Westcliff High School for Boys Grammar School, achieving 13A* GCSE grades and 5A*s at A-level in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science and the Extended Project Qualification.

About the lesson

Given the current climate, I am looking for remote clients for the foreseeable future. Session structure will be flexible and tailored to the student, but aim to be fun and interactive. Prices for sessions are as follows:

- £25/hour for personal statement/university application advice
- £30/hour for individual sessions (GCSE and below)
- £35/hour for individual sessions (A-level Mathematics)
- £20/hour per student, group sessions (2-5 students, all levels) [These sessions work best if students with similar goals want to group together to benefit from lower prices and a more “classroom style” environment, can of course be combined with individual sessions]
