About Chanul
My name is Chanul Liyanage and I am thrilled to be a maths tutor because I have a deep passion for Maths and its ability to solve real-world problems and the skills you can develop from it. As a recent A-level graduate who excelled in both my GCSEs and A-levels, achieving a 9 at GCSE level for Maths and an A* at A level and an A in Further Maths, my goal is to share my knowledge and passion with you. I want to ensure that you not only understand the subject but enjoy learning it because if you do not want to learn something, how can you ever achieve success in it?

My lessons will be catered towards my students getting the best success they can get at GCSE and A level. I know the key areas these exam boards look for and the best ways in achieving them having gone through the process myself not so long ago. My lessons can be 1-2 hours long and I aim in making sure my students first understand the content and the methodology behind it, an area I feel is often overlooked in schools but very important for a more thorough understanding of the subject, inevitably leading to better exam success. Having done peer tutoring in the past for GCSE students, I know the pressure they feel they are under but I hope that under my teaching I will make them enjoy the subject and want to do well rather than them feel like it is some obligation they have to do.
