About Marc

I have been tutoring for the majority of my life: in high school I volunteered at my middle school tutoring in general studies and assisting with academic planning for high school and beyond. Throughout college I was an Economics tutor and served as the Operations Manager for a tutoring business that served hundreds of students in their day-to-day courses as well as college preparation. Finding support in times of transition or difficult academic environments is paramount to a student's success. My priority is for people to find excitement and joy in learning so they can achieve their goals, whatever those goals may be.

About the lesson

I have experience and am comfortable working with students from middle school all the way up through college. For younger students I recommend a preliminary meeting with the parents to discuss goals as well as areas to focus on. For more advanced students I prefer to meet with them individually. A typical lesson plan highly depends on the student's needs but could be assisting with current assignments or using auxiliary tools to enhance current learning goals. For college preparation I would take a step back and look at an academic plan (courses and grade goals), recommendation letters, essay writing skills, and preferences of the student and family (academic and financial). I am also experienced in interview preparation and can help run practice interviews. As a tutor I am flexible, efficient, and believe the main priority is to work with the student/family to achieve their goals.
