I was lucky enough to have private Spanish lessons with Jas whilst she was studying in Australia. Jas is an extremely encouraging and patient tutor, and helped me to greatly improve my conversation skills and build confidence. Worth every cent and I can't recommend her highly enough.

I went to university with Jas and we took Spanish together in our second year.
When we met up to practice for our oral exam I was conscious that she had a lot more Spanish speaking experience than me but working with her made me feel a lot more confident about my own abilities! She is a knowledgeable and gentle tutor and always eager to help others.

I worked with Jas as a facilitator for an online course in climate change ran by the University of Exeter. Jas is very good at explaining difficult concepts over mainly written communication to learners from a range of backgrounds. Combining this with her friendly character makes her a perfect tutor. During this time, she readily communicated with native Spanish speaking participants in their own language, enhancing their experience from a course taught in English. Jas is a great person to have worked with and I would definitely recommend her as a tutor.

I have worked with Jas on a climate change online course, during our university studies at Exeter. Jas is an excellent communicator, adaptable to a range of learners. Jas strives to help others learn more and understand more, going above just giving answers. I recommend Jas as I am confident she will continue to bring this energy and enthusiasm to more students in what she teaches.

Jas and I spent three months volunteering together, in a small rural community in Nicaragua, on a water and sanitation project with Raleigh International. Whilst there we stayed with host families and therefore were fully immersed in Spanish. We worked in a team of volunteers who spoke both Spanish and English, and as one of the more competent Spanish speakers (of the British volunteers), Jas helped with translation and facilitated communication. She worked incredibly hard to get to know her host family and not only did her Spanish come on immensely in the time we were there, but she helped many other members of the group to improve their language skills too.
It was a challenging environment with various language abilities within the group. Jas showed patience and demonstrated a thorough understanding of Spanish by helping to improve group communication and facilitating the project. I would absolutely recommend her as a tutor, I think she would be fantastic.

I knew Jas as a mentor and tutor on a series of online courses that we produced on the subject of climate science and solutions. Jas had a uniquely brilliant ability to cater very carefully to the needs of every individual learner - a unique challenge for online courses that are open to anybody! Whether they were a GCSE student with pre-existing knowledge in the subject, or a retiree who was starting from scratch, Jas ensured that every answer was carefully researched and communicated in a way that was appropriate for that person's needs. Jas absolutely went above and beyond to ensure every one of our learners had a positive learning experience. She encouraged enthusiasm by offering content beyond what had been prepared, and supported learners throughout to ensure they didn't fall behind. I would wholeheartedly recommend Jas as a trustworthy, and frankly brilliant, tutor.

Jas is super friendly, patient and easy to get along with. She was happy to go over some Spanish speaking practice with me on multiple occasions. Each session was relaxed but very productive!

Jas is a friendly face and is patient and understanding of people’s different needs. As my sister she has been a constant source of support throughout the years for all things academic or otherwise.
