About Rachel
I’m a final year violinist, and I’ve been playing the violin for 15 years. I struggled with music theory when I was younger, and really found that 1-to-1 lessons helped me to feel confident in what I was learning. I am keen to help others feel this same sense of comfort in a subject that can seem daunting in the beginning. I am open to working through ABRSM music theory books, or taking different approaches and simply using these as guides of skills. I have experience working with people of all ages, and it is never too late to start learning some music theory!

For me, music theory helped me understand my instrument more and enabled me to progress much faster. We will work our way through the ABRSM theory topics, and you can choose whether to enter the exams or not -no problem either way! I like to make theory fun and engaging, finding creative ways to learn the content!
Lessons can be 30 mins , 45 mins or an hour, which tailors to all ages and lengths of concentration!
