About Spencer
I was born in California, moved to Minnesota for school, and am now living in Ireland while I complete a MA in Museum Studies. Having lived in multiples places and countries, I am confident in my ability to relate to almost anyone :)
I am an Eagle scout, participated in my college's varsity swim team for all four years of my attendance, and served on the leadership board of several of the clubs I participated in.
In my free time I enjoy watching soccer, hiking, playing board games, exploring new cities, and cooking.

Hello there! As a recent graduate from a small college, I'm a firm believer in the power of student autonomy in a tutoring setting. To that end, most tutoring sessions I offer will begin with the student explaining their work to me in their own words. This is often a great starting point to discuss what their goals are and helps me understand the best way to provide instruction and guidance.
In an essay tutoring session, I place high value on students reading their work out loud and discussing the decisions they made in order to promote a more intentional writing process.
In addition to my academic qualifications, I have both tutored and taught in a variety of settings, including at a tutoring startup I helped found while I was in High school, as a TA in my college courses, and as a student teacher at the local Middle School. I look forward to working with you or your student!
