About Laura

I have just graduated in Biology at Royal Holloway, University of London with a first class honours and received an excellence award due to having the highest grades in my year. I am extremely passionate about biology and have done lots of teaching in the past. I have worked as a private teacher in 2016 for a couple of Secondary School students. From 2018-2019 I assisted Primary School teachers with teaching science to kids in a fun way. I also have my DBS checked. I can speak both English and Portuguese fluently.

About the lesson

I have experience in teaching biology to a range of different students - from primary to university level. I aim to make complex topics in biology very easy to understand. I like challenging my students with questions to make them more curious and intrigued in learning about the topic. I like to explain the topic with colourful diagrams and drawings to make the lesson more engaging. I also like to practice exam-style questions with my students to check understanding. I deliver my lessons in a fun and enjoyable way, always suiting the personal needs of my students.
