About Camilo

As an art and animation tutor, my teaching philosophy is rooted in clarity, encouragement, and a deep respect for every student’s creative journey and skill level. I bring both industry insight and a structured, results-driven teaching method to ensure that students not only grow artistically, but also feel confident and supported in what they are doing every step of the way. I take my role as a mentor seriously. My lessons are tailored to your goals—whether you're a new art student looking to further your talents, exploring animation for the first time, or have taken art in the past and are looking to learn something new. Every session is thoughtfully prepared in advance and professionally delivered, with progress tracking and constructive feedback to keep you growing and motivated. With a background in both traditional and digital animation techniques, and experience teaching and tutoring students at different skill levels, I offer a learning experience that is structured, flexible, and grounded in real-world standards. My priority is to help my students develop both their skills and their confidence as an artist in order to bring to reality the stories, ideas, and characters they have always wanted to share with others and the world. Above all, I am committed to your success. About the lesson

As an art and animation tutor, my goal is to guide each student in discovering and developing their own creative voice. I believe that learning art isn’t just about mastering techniques—it’s about understanding why they work and how to make something unique. That’s why I take a highly personalized, hands-on approach in every lesson.

I start by getting to know your goals, interests, and current skill level. Whether you're just starting to explore drawing or diving deep into frame-by-frame animation, I adapt each session to meet you where you are. No two artists are the same, so I make sure the path we take is tailored to your style and pace.

What sets my teaching apart is how I break down complex ideas into clear, visual, and easy to understand explanations. I use analogies, simple step by step examples, and real-time drawing or animating to explain principles like motion arcs, squash and stretch, or color theory in a way that sticks. Think of it like learning a language—step by step, bit by bit, concept by concept, but always with creativity at the center and the end goal of encouraging the student to want to challenge themselves and see what they can come up with if they set their mind and passion to it.

I also encourage experimentation. I share not just the how, but the why behind industry techniques, so you’re empowered to build your own workflow and creative confidence. Whether we’re working digitally on a tablet or traditionally with pencil and paper, I make sure lessons are engaging, collaborative, and focused on actual progress—small wins that build big skills over time.

Ultimately, I strive to make learning art and drawing feel accessible, enjoyable, and deeply rewarding. When a student leaves a session inspired and excited to create more, that’s when I know I’ve done my job.
