As a credentialed English teacher, AP Seminar instructor, and experienced reading specialist, I approach tutoring with a personalized, inquiry-driven methodology that builds critical thinking, confidence, and communication skills. Drawing on over two decades of experience in education, theater, and curriculum design, I tailor each session to the learner’s needs—whether they are preparing for the GED, mastering essay structure, or deepening analytical reading. A typical lesson includes a clear learning objective, guided practice using real texts or prompts, skill-building exercises, and constructive feedback. My sessions are rooted in active learning: students engage with ideas, develop voice and argument, and refine their work through collaborative revision. What sets me apart is my ability to meet students where they are—academically and emotionally—while drawing on interdisciplinary tools from literature, the arts, and communication theory. I specialize in supporting high school and college students, adult learners, and aspiring writers at all levels seeking mastery in English, essay writing, AP-style research, and creative expression.
