About Koketso

I am a Quantitative risk management graduate, majored in actuarial sciences. I have just over 8 years of experience in tutoring accounting, having started during my 8th grade as a way to raise extra money after some of my classmates who were struggling with the subject required my services because I was the top student. News quickly spread and in total I tutored 8 students during my high school years, managing to help 3 achieve distinctions in their finals, with the another 4 attaining between 73% and 78% with the last attaining 67% for their final exam.

I continued tutoring during my university years, although because of a more demanding schedule, I could only tutor 3 students in total on a personal capacity, with one achieving a distinction and the other two attaining high 60s for their first year Accounting modules.

On a broader setting, I have been involved in outreach programs in tutoring high school students in accounting for the past 5 years. As we speak, I am also taking part in an outreach program hosted by the bank I work for. Teaching accounting seems to be a passion of mine that has never shown signs of dwindling anytime soon

About the lesson

My teaching method is application based. I first establish the importance of a topic by doing an example, this can be to any type of students ranging from high school to first year degree. I like to open my classes to engagement with students as I am a social teacher.

Details

Students who require online tutoring will be charged less, R150 for the 1st hour, R160 for the 2nd hour, R170 for the 3rd, and then after the rate will remain constant. Additionally, a half price deposit (for an hourly rate) will be required from a student who makes a booking (this is only refundable if a booking is cancelled 48 hours before the time, if a booking is not cancelled on time, the deposit is non-refundable), this is to avoid unnecessary cancellations from both myself, as the tutor and the student.
