About Austin
I am Austin, a quantitative researcher and a PhD student in Financial Economics at University College London (UCL).
My research experience spans futures and options markets, statistical models, and large financial datasets. I use Python to connect economic theory, statistical methods, and real data.
I bring this practical perspective to tuition in economics, finance, statistics, econometrics, and Python. I help students understand what a method does, why its assumptions matter, and how to interpret its results.
My lessons suit university students who want stronger foundations, exam preparation, or practical skills for quantitative projects.

Understand the theory, solve the problem, and see how it applies to real data.
Lessons follow your course material, goals, and pace. We start with the intuition, work through the mathematics, and use examples to make each step clear.
I offer support with economics and finance concepts, probability, statistics, econometrics, and Python for data analysis. Sessions can focus on exam preparation, practice problems, or the methods behind a quantitative project.
My quantitative research experience helps me explain how models work in practice: their assumptions, the data they need, and their limitations. Where useful, we use financial examples and Python to connect theory with applications.
Please share your module outline and the topics you find difficult before the first session. We can then agree on a clear focus.
